Erongo Marine Enterprises (Pty) Ltd is a proudly Namibian fishing company based in Walvis Bay and a subsidiary of South Africa’s Oceana Group. It is one of the leading players in Namibia’s Horse Mackerel sector, specialising in the harvesting, processing, and distribution of premium wild-caught, sea-frozen Horse Mackerel.

The company operates its own fleet of Namibian-flagged mid-water trawlers with a combined annual catch capacity of approximately 60,000 tonnes. It also acts as a technical partner for several Namibian Horse Mackerel quota-holding companies, ensuring responsible harvesting and high operational standards on their behalf.

Erongo Marine processes and packs whole-round Horse Mackerel in 30 kg cartons (3 × 10 kg blocks) or 10 kg cartons, as well as steam-dried fishmeal. These products are supplied to markets across the SADC region, the wider African continent, and international destinations, supporting both local consumption and export earnings.

As one of the largest employers in Namibia’s Horse Mackerel fishing industry, the company provides significant employment opportunities and contributes to economic development in the Erongo region and beyond. It maintains strong focus on skills development, financial literacy training, and broader community empowerment initiatives.
