Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) is the leading business membership organisation and the united voice of the private sector in Namibia. Established in July 1990 shortly after independence, NCCI represents businesses across all sectors and regions of the country and advocates for a conducive, competitive, and inclusive business environment.
NCCI plays a central role in public-private dialogue, engaging government on policy matters that affect the business community. It works to reduce red tape, improve the ease of doing business, and influence legislation and regulations that support private sector growth and job creation.
The Chamber provides a wide range of services to its members, including business advocacy, capacity building and training, trade facilitation, market information, and networking opportunities. It also issues Certificates of Origin and supports companies with trade enquiries and matchmaking.
NCCI has a strong regional presence through its network of chambers and branches across Namibia. This grassroots structure ensures that the voices of businesses in towns, villages, and rural areas are represented at the national level alongside larger corporate members.
In addition to advocacy, NCCI supports the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and promotes entrepreneurship as a driver of economic diversification and inclusive growth. It partners with government, development organisations, and the private sector to implement programmes that strengthen business competitiveness.
As Namibia’s premier business organisation, the NCCI continues to champion the interests of the private sector while contributing to the country’s broader socio-economic development goals. It remains committed to building stronger businesses, improving the investment climate, and creating opportunities for sustainable prosperity.
