LearnOnOne

LearnOnOne is a Namibian non-profit educational platform that delivers free, high-quality supplementary school lessons to learners across the country. Launched as an initiative of One Africa TV, it combines traditional television broadcasting with an on-demand digital platform to make extra learning accessible to everyone — especially learners in rural and under-resourced communities who may lack access to private tutoring or reliable internet.

The platform broadcasts recorded lessons every weekday on OneAfrica TV (available on DStv channel 284 and GOtv Namibia channel 24) between 12:30 and 17:00. All lessons are also available anytime on the LearnOnOne website, allowing learners to revise at their own pace. Content is fully aligned with the Namibian school curriculum and endorsed by the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture.

LearnOnOne covers a wide range of grades and subjects. It includes playful animated content for pre-primary and lower primary (in partnership with ABCmouse and Ubongo Kids), as well as structured lessons for Grade 8 to 11 and AS-level students in subjects such as Mathematics, Physical Science, Accounting, English, History, Economics, Development Studies, and various languages. Many lessons feature experienced Namibian teachers explaining complex topics in clear, engaging ways.

By making quality extra lessons completely free, LearnOnOne helps close educational gaps and supports the national goal of improving learner performance. It is particularly valuable for learners preparing for examinations or struggling with specific topics, offering in-depth explanations, visual aids, and revision material that complements what is taught in schools.

LearnOnOne operates as LearnOnOne Education and Leadership Development, a Non-Profit Association registered under Section 21 of the Namibian Companies Act (Reg. No. 21/2018/2318). It functions through a service-level agreement with founding sponsor OneAfrica TV and collaborates with partners including the Ministry of Education, UNICEF, NAMCOL, Eduvision, and international content providers to expand its reach and impact.

The platform’s philosophy of “Be Extra” encourages learners to go beyond the basics, build confidence, and take ownership of their education. Beyond school subjects, LearnOnOne also aims to support lifelong learning and leadership development, positioning itself as a long-term investment in Namibia’s human capital and future workforce.
