Ongwediva Medipark

Ongwediva Medipark is a state-of-the-art 150-bed private academic hospital located in Ongwediva, in northern Namibia’s Oshana Region. It was established to bring high-quality, specialised healthcare closer to communities that previously had limited access to advanced medical services.

The hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, including emergency care (24/7), general and specialised surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, transplant surgery, internal medicine, paediatrics, maternity, radiology, and intensive care. It also provides day procedures, outpatient consultations, and diagnostic services.

As an academic hospital accredited by the Health Professionals’ Council of Namibia (HPCNA) and the University of Namibia, Ongwediva Medipark plays an important role in training nursing, medical, radiography, and pharmacy students. It maintains strong partnerships with the Ministry of Health and Social Services and other institutions.

The facility achieved a major milestone in 2016 by establishing Namibia’s first Organ Transplant Unit and performing the country’s first kidney transplant. It continues to expand specialised services while maintaining ISO 9001 certification for quality management (achieved in December 2023).
