This coming Friday, 8 June 2018 the Round Table and various private companies will once again collect cash or in-kind donations for the Winter Knights project which benefits marginalised communities all over Namibia. As in the past, donations can be made physically at the street intersections, through ‘buying’ a street corner, donating directly to Round Table Namibia or by SMSing – “Winter” to 5005.
“We have, however, been fortunate enough to add another avenue of collecting funds to our campaign, namely via the FNB Happiness store,” says an excited Stefan du Raan of Round Table Namibia.
FNB Namibia launched the FNB Happiness Store in June 2016 and has since then – through the generosity by the Namibian public – assisted numerous marginalised people and charities. “The online e-commerce platform which is actively used to drive donations towards charity organisations via the FNB Happiness Store has added the Winter Knights charity drive and we are hoping that Namibians will once again open their hearts and wallets to support this worthy campaign,” says Madri van Wyk, Marketing Manager at FNB Namibia. Donations from as little as N$20 are welcome and can be made at www.fnbhappinessstore.com.na
Stefan du Raan adds: “We look forward to any donation from our generous fellow Namibians, which will enable us to assist the needy insurviving the upcoming Winter.”
Winter Knights is an annual project hosted by Round Table Namibia, aimed at raising funds for marginalised communities all over Namibia. The main aim is to raise cash donations, to buy blankets for these communities. Any other donations in the form of old clothing, blankets and non-perishable food is also distributed to these beneficiaries.
